Irakli Mirzikashvili's founder journey has been shaped by building and scaling technology products inside complex, real-world industries.
Before Briano, he helped lead the global expansion of Aptos as CMO and Global Business Development Director. When he joined, the company operated in 13 countries. Over the next five years it reached 80. He worked across international business development, partnerships, and go-to-market in market after market, learning how to sell enterprise software, open new regions, and build relationships with large organizations.
He then led Ekimo, the largest healthtech company in Georgia. Working closely with healthcare providers, insurers, and enterprise clients, he saw firsthand how much critical work in those industries still depended on manual processes, slow document review, and repetitive operational decisions.
That observation led directly to Briano. The company is building an AI operational layer for insurers, starting with claims processing and customer communication — helping insurance companies cut manual work, process claims faster, lower costs, and improve customer experience while keeping human control and compliance intact.
The key breakthrough has been focus. Briano isn't a generic chatbot but a decision-support and automation layer purpose-built for insurance claims, combining document understanding, OCR, validation, risk scoring, human-in-the-loop review, and workflow orchestration.
His story is about execution, resilience, and building global technology from an emerging market. He wants to prove that category-defining AI companies can come from Georgia when they solve painful, measurable problems for large industries.
